South Dublin
South Dublin is a county in Ireland located in the Leinster province. The administrative center of South Dublin is Tallaght. The county is located only 15km from the Irish capital Dublin and has the population of about 250,000 people. South Dublin also includes some territory of the Dublin Mountains and stands upon the Liffey River. Most of the areas of the South Dublin county are themselves suburbs of the Irish capital.
Tallaght is the biggest town and the administrative center of the South Dublin county. In the middle of the twentieth century it was just a little remote village in the South Dublin, but after the significant grow in the 1980-s it became a major town with the current population of about 92,000 people. One of the main modern features of the town is The Square, one of the biggest retailing centers in Ireland. The center includes three levels and hosts such brands as Marks and Spencers, Penneys, and H&M. It is connected with other South Dublin towns and Dublin by the bus line. The main historical and architectural sight of Tallaght is St. Maelruain's Church. The modern church was built in the mid-nineteenth century on the ruins of the already existing religious building.
